Established in 1993, Keshet is the leading Israeli media company specializing in reaching coveted audiences through existing and emerging media platforms with top rated programs and innovative, groundbreaking content. At the forefront of the global media company’s portfolio is free TV with Keshet Broadcasting, Israel’s most successful television broadcast operator and a franchisee of Channel 2, Israel’s major commercial channel. Keshet Broadcasting has consistently dominated ratings and market share, with daily TV reaching 62% of households and an average prime time share of 38%. Programmes from Keshet are provided by in-house productions as well as independent producers and span across all genres, including comedy, reality, drama, news and current affairs.

Keshet’s TV shows have been widely embraced by international markets. Most notably, Showtime’s Emmy and Golden Globe-winning spy drama Homeland is an adaptation of Keshet’s hit Israeli drama Prisoners of War. The original program has also been sold to more than 11 territories. Formats such as Dear Neighbors, Help Our Daughter Find Love and The Vault have been sold to 13 and 18 territories, respectively, and Deal With It, a popular hidden-camera ambush show, has been sold to 14 territories with a US-version set to air in 2013 on TBS.

Over the years Keshet has expanded its media and entertainment businesses to include cable, a satellite channel (Music 24) and a flourishing New Media division, with such entities as: Mako, the third largest web portal in Israel; cross-media venture Screenz; and a variety of e-commerce and lifestyle web sites.

Keshet is a privately held company. It was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel.
